Chinese automaker Nio has transformed its EL7 midsize SUV into a coupe, much like the 2020 ES6. The new electric SUV coupe called Nio EC7 is a higher model of EC6.

The Nio EC7 is the same as the EL7 up front, but with smart ADB multi-beam headlights that can project patterns and animations.

The EC7 comes standard with dual-chamber suspension. Braking power comes from ventilated disc brakes with 380mm perforated ventilated disc brakes. The front brakes are fitted with high-performance Brembo 6-piston calipers. If the driver presses the brake pedal at 100 km/h (62 mph), the EC7 comes to a stop at a distance of 33.9 meters. Nio EC7 starts at 488,000 CNY (70,739 USD) in China. The company may launch a new electric SUV coupe in Europe in the second half of this year.
