All new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore|Beast luxury EV
The EV revolution continues as Italian automaker Maserati enters the electric vehicle market. First in its EV variant of the new small SUV Grecale, then in this its 2024 GranTurismo Folgore sports car. All Maserati electric vehicles will be named Folgole, which means “lightning bolt” in Italian. The GranTurismo Folgore promises lightning-quick acceleration, worthy of its nickname of High Voltage.
According to Maserati, this car allows it to reach 60 mph in less than 3.0 seconds. To achieve this figure, it needs three electric motors that in total generate 750 horsepower. The GranTurismo Folgore shares its design and interior with the new petrol-powered GranTurismo and can also produce a convertible Gran Convertible Folgore.
The GranTurismo Folgore will be launched as an all-new model under the Maserati brand. It will follow the petrol-powered GranTurismo to market, but is expected to be available in dealerships by the end of 2023.

Like the regular GranTurismo, the GranTurismo Folgore is a four-seater coupe with a luxurious cabin. While it may not look like it, the car uses sustainable materials throughout its interior design, including upholstery made from recycled fishing nets salvaged from the ocean. Passenger and cargo space should be similar to that of the regular GranTurismo and rivals such as Aston’s Martin Vantage and Mercedes AMG GT. If Maserati adopts its version of the GranCabrio, it is expected that the car’s trunk capacity will be reduced, as it will make room for a folding fabric on top.

The GranTurismo Folgore is powered by three electric motors that send 750 horsepower to all four wheels. As a result, the electric GranTurismo can be faster than the most powerful petrol car, which only produces 542 horsepower. Two motors drive the individual rear wheels and a third drives the front axle. According to Maserati, this enables a torque vectoring feature that mimics a limited-slip differential.

The 83.0kWh battery should give you about 230 miles of range, but we’ll have to wait and see until we get a chance to run a real range test. According to Maserati, the GranTurismo Folgole can be fast-charged with a port of up to 270kW, and just five minutes is enough for it to add 100km of range to the benchmark.
The EPA has yet to release fuel economy or range estimates for the GranTurismo Folgore, but we’ll update this article as we learn more. Infotainment and connectivity in 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore
All GranTurismo models come with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen running Maserati’s latest Google-based infotainment system. It includes both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and has a secondary 8.8-inch touchscreen that doubles as a climate control panel. A heads-up display is also available, as is a premium 19-speaker stereo system tuned by Italian audio specialist Sonus Faber.
